Notes from Larry:

I wish to thank those of you who come to this site even though I have been absent for quite some time. This site has a very important purpose. There is much to say and much to hear from all of you.

For those of you who might be wondering about m;y health, I am happy to report that I have fully recovered and am healthier and stronger then I have been in over 20 years. My health was not my reason for my absence. I just needed some time away and appreciate your understanding. I will, however, be back right after the New Year.

Obama Is Smarter Than Our Founding Fathers

The Constitution is "an imperfect document." It reflects "the fundamental flaw of this country that continues to this day." Exactly what flaw is POTUS Obama referring to? The one that believes in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? The Constitution is a glorification of the rights of free men. It holds its roots in the power of the individual, that we have rights that are inherent, that the individual is the owner of his mind and production. It's purpose is to limit government.

Simply put the individual has everything, all rights under the sun, other than those powers specifically given to the government. That's the beauty of it. No slippery slopes to slide down. The reason why government should not provide health care is because they should not provide us with top of the line Mercedes. Both would increase our life expectancy, as the latter would decrease deaths and injuries in accidents. Who draws the line? Sure the Mercedes argument is ridiculous, but what about providing us with fresh fruits and vegetables? Workout equipment? A personal trainer?

Either you believe in the rights of free men or you believe in the power of government to enslave individuals. What else would you call redistributing wealth? Government is taking the labor and product of one individual and giving it to another. One party is working for free for another party. It does not matter what is provided to the taker, be it health care, food or education. Anything that is supplied to that individual is taken from another. That is enslavement.

The question is not whether it is right or wrong to provide these things. The question is what the Constitution says, and there is no provision in the Constitution that allows the government to do these things. If we agree that the government should be given the authority to provide citizens with health care then we can amend the Constitution and give them such powers.

Nothing in this statement makes the slightest bit of sense. He is babbling. It reminds me of a line from 48 Hours: "If you can't dazzle them with your brilliance, baffle them with your bullsh*t." (pardon the bad word, it's a quote).

However, we should thank the lord we have someone as enlightened as Obama to fix the Constitution on his own, without having to deal with those silly requirements needed to amend it. He is smarter than our Founding Fathers. He is enlightened.

These are his own words. Our President believes that by its nature the US Constitution, the same Constitution that he swore to uphold, is flawed. If he believes that our Constitution is flawed then are we to trust him to adhere to its terms while he works to change it?
