Notes from Larry:

I wish to thank those of you who come to this site even though I have been absent for quite some time. This site has a very important purpose. There is much to say and much to hear from all of you.

For those of you who might be wondering about m;y health, I am happy to report that I have fully recovered and am healthier and stronger then I have been in over 20 years. My health was not my reason for my absence. I just needed some time away and appreciate your understanding. I will, however, be back right after the New Year.

An Economic Lesson for Barack Obama

RobertM, one of our volunteers and contributors posted this on our GoldmanSachs666 site.  I have not seen this video either and am glad he did.  As he says, if you have not seen it or the others you should do so.  To view RoberM's post in GS666...click here

For those of you who haven't seen The Still Report on youtube, you should do yourself a favor and check it out (I admit I'm late getting to the game as well). At the 2 minute mark, Bill Still (the Producer of The Money Masters) points out how Goldman has 333 times the amount of derivatives bets than their assets. This may have changed somewhat since the video was produced in November '09 but the fact remains that our banking system is broken and needs major reform.

Check out the whole Still Report series on his channel at youtube and see if you agree with me that he's on the right track. Feel free to flame me in the comments if I'm wrong.

Happy New Year: Hopefully It Will Be

So here it is, the end of a very interesting and turbulent year. The stories and hardships of so many were overshadowed by the powerful elite. Bonuses, profits and bailouts seemed to occupy most of the major media and Goldman Sachs took up much of the space.

Now that we are just a few short hours away from the year 2010 many of us wonder what is in store for us. Will the economy begin to recover? Will the millions of unemployed find work? Will the rate of foreclosures decrease? We can only wonder, wait and see.

Will the mega "too big to fail" begin to respond and invest in America with all the record profits they have made? Will our government begin to address the needs of the people?

So many questions which only time can answer. But knowing all of this - or not knowing, as the case maybe - we should all take some time tonight to welcome in the New Year as it can be filled with hope. I see more and more each day, through all of my research, that Americans are beginning to wake up, splintered as they may be. There is emerging a "voice" of the people as we see from the many different sources we post links to every day. Bloggers, like us, as well as some major media are reporting the truth and the facts as they are. This information is shared by many - as we do - which slowly well begin to unify the "voice".

Our system may appear to be broken - and it is - but "we" have the power to fix it. After all, it is still "We The People" who own our flag.

May you all have a Happy, Safe and Prosperous New Year,

See you all next year. We thank all of you for visiting our site and hope you will continue to do so.

Obama's Clown Summit

Is this a joke or is the Clown in Chief still campaigning? A summit to fix the job situation. This is exactly what useless people do, they have meetings. The truth of the matter is that they sit around and tell each other how smart they are, cater in nice food, pretend they are important but never really get anything done. Which of course is not much of a shock as our President has never accomplished a single thing in his life. He is a man of meetings and talking, but not of action. Unless of course it benefits him directly.

President Obama took time Thursday -- before jetting off to Asia for a 10-day tour -- to announce a December jobs summit aimed at synching job growth with the massive government spending meant to "break the back" of the recession.

The announcement came as the Labor Department reported another 502,000 new jobless claims, two high-tech mainstays announced big layoffs and the unemployment rate reached 10.2 percent.

Obama said the White House forum will gather CEOs, small business owners, economists, financial experts and representatives from labor unions and nonprofit groups "to talk about how we can work together to create jobs and get this economy moving again."

CEOs? Does that mean low life incompetent fascists like Jeffrey Immelt of GE? Economists? Does that include genius noble prize winners like Paul Krugman who had no clue we were in for a housing bubble and thinks that $800 billion in stimulus won't work because it is too little? Financial experts? Does this include criminal banksters like Lloyd Blankfein of Goldman Sachs who helped create this mess and has stolen hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer money and given it to his crony crooked banker friends for bonuses. But as he told us all, he is doing God's work. And for the ultimate screw you, "labor union reps?" What do these guys know about creating jobs, other than of course creating multi million dollar jobs for themselves by stealing the actual workers' money.

"We all know that there are limits to what government can and should do, even during such difficult times. But we have an obligation to consider every additional, responsible step that we can take to encourage and accelerate job creation in this country," he said.

He added that the forum is intended to prevent making "any ill-considered decisions -- even with the best intentions -- particularly at a time when our resources are so limited. But it's just as important that we are open to any demonstrably good idea to supplement the steps we've already taken to put America back to work."

I have a hard time believing that there a limits to what government can do with the super genius in charge. But of course right after he says that line he goes and says the exact opposite. As for ill-considered decisions I would have to count electing him and having John McCain as our other choice as two of the greatest ill-conceived decisions ever.

Yup, getting the group of incompetents together in a room should solve the problem. The truth is that we would all be better off if all these clowns just locked themselves in a VW Bug and never came out again.
