Is this a joke or is the Clown in Chief still campaigning? A summit to fix the job situation. This is exactly what useless people do, they have meetings. The truth of the matter is that they sit around and tell each other how smart they are, cater in nice food, pretend they are important but never really get anything done. Which of course is not much of a shock as our President has never accomplished a single thing in his life. He is a man of meetings and talking, but not of action. Unless of course it benefits him directly.
President Obama took time Thursday -- before jetting off to Asia for a 10-day tour -- to announce a December jobs summit aimed at synching job growth with the massive government spending meant to "break the back" of the recession. The announcement came as the Labor Department reported another 502,000 new jobless claims, two high-tech mainstays announced big layoffs and the unemployment rate reached 10.2 percent.
Obama said the White House forum will gather CEOs, small business owners, economists, financial experts and representatives from labor unions and nonprofit groups "to talk about how we can work together to create jobs and get this economy moving again."
CEOs? Does that mean low life incompetent fascists like Jeffrey Immelt of GE? Economists? Does that include genius noble prize winners like Paul Krugman who had no clue we were in for a housing bubble and thinks that $800 billion in stimulus won't work because it is too little? Financial experts? Does this include criminal banksters like Lloyd Blankfein of Goldman Sachs who helped create this mess and has stolen hundreds of billions of dollars of taxpayer money and given it to his crony crooked banker friends for bonuses. But as he told us all, he is doing God's work. And for the ultimate screw you, "labor union reps?" What do these guys know about creating jobs, other than of course creating multi million dollar jobs for themselves by stealing the actual workers' money.
"We all know that there are limits to what government can and should do, even during such difficult times. But we have an obligation to consider every additional, responsible step that we can take to encourage and accelerate job creation in this country," he said.
He added that the forum is intended to prevent making "any ill-considered decisions -- even with the best intentions -- particularly at a time when our resources are so limited. But it's just as important that we are open to any demonstrably good idea to supplement the steps we've already taken to put America back to work."
I have a hard time believing that there a limits to what government can do with the super genius in charge. But of course right after he says that line he goes and says the exact opposite. As for ill-considered decisions I would have to count electing him and having John McCain as our other choice as two of the greatest ill-conceived decisions ever.
Yup, getting the group of incompetents together in a room should solve the problem. The truth is that we would all be better off if all these clowns just locked themselves in a VW Bug and never came out again.
