Final Bribes Are Paid

The Senate has voted to move forward with debate on the US taxpayer opposed health socialization bill.

The final two bribes were paid to Mary Landrieu and Blanche Lincoln. We are not sure what the payoff to Lincoln was but we do know that Landrieu comes cheap. She sold herself out for a measly $100 million.

For all the drama, the result of the Saturday night showdown had been sealed a few hours earlier, when two final Democratic holdouts, Sens. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, announced they would join in clearing the way for a full debate.

"It is clear to me that doing nothing is not an option," said Landrieu, who won $100 million in the legislation to help her state pay the costs of health care for the poor.

Lincoln, who faces a tough re-election next year, said the evening vote will "mark the beginning of consideration of this bill by the U.S. Senate, not the end."

Both stressed they were not committing in advance to vote for the bill that ultimately emerges from next month's debate.

You would think that if Bill Clinton could get several million of Marc Rich's stolen dollars for a pardon, then Landrieu should have been able to work her bribe up considerably higher. Typical government incompetence, they can't even be bribed correctly. We are talking about trillions of dollars that the unions and progressives will be stealing here. Gosh, it's not even his own money that Reid is bribing her with, it's money that he is planning to steal from the taxpayers of this country.

Lets hope that one of these two Senators, or Lieberman, change their vote on the cloture motion to end debate.

Then again, who trusts Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi or Obama. They have made their intentions clear. They will pass this. They do not care what the public thinks or desires. They are better than we are. They know what is best for us. They can run an economy representing trillions of individual transactions every day better than the people making the transactions. They are super geniuses, although none has every held a job that requires results. How the least accomplished individuals in this country end up in power is just mind boggling. Not one of these individuals knows the first thing about how economics works. I doubt that have any background in or understanding of numbers. How could they? Everything they do is like someone telling us that two plus two equals ten.

Obama and SEIU, the Purple Shirt Thugs

For those of you unaware of Obama's close ties to the union thugs of this country please take a look at this video at Breitbart.tv.

This is the same union that spent tens of millions of dollars getting Obama elected. How much of this money came from the American taxpayer? Remember, this is the same union that has a seat at the White House table. The same union whose executives have been hired to work in the White House. The same union that is intricately involved in crafting health care reform. The same union that sent its thugs out to beat up citizens who were exercising their freedom of speech at town hall meetings.

Michelle Malkin has written a lot on the purple Mob. Her latest post concerns SEIU taking over home health care providers. They want anyone who stays home to take care of their sick or handicapped family members to be forced to join SEIU and pay union dues. This is how Obama and his fascist wing pay back the unions. Obama takes union money to win elections and then steals the citizens' money and gives it to SEIU.

Obama Lies To CONgress

I find it amazing that our politicians can pick two examples from a country of 300 million people and use those facts to create or change policies. Are politicians just leveraging the fact that our country is completely ignorant when it comes to numbers and the economy? That is not a knock on our great citizens, but rather a put down of our failed public school system whose main purpose is to protect unionized teachers and more importantly the union leaders. Then again, one can ascribe a more sinister reason for this, perhaps politician want us to be ignorant.

The current progressive talking points are that health care reform is necessary because insurance companies are evil. To prove this Obama used two examples of insurance company malfeasance in his speech to CONgress last week.

Scott Harrington at the WSJ has fact checked Obama's claims. It appears our President misled this nation once again. Shocking!

To highlight abusive practices, Mr. Obama referred to an Illinois man who "lost his coverage in the middle of chemotherapy because his insurer found he hadn't reported gallstones that he didn't even know about." The president continued: "They delayed his treatment, and he died because of it."

Although the president has used this example previously, his conclusion is contradicted by the transcript of a June 16 hearing on industry practices before the Subcommittee of Oversight and Investigation of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. The deceased's sister testified that the insurer reinstated her brother's coverage following intervention by the Illinois Attorney General's Office. She testified that her brother received a prescribed stem-cell transplant within the desired three- to four-week "window of opportunity" from "one of the most renowned doctors in the whole world on the specific routine," that the procedure "was extremely successful," and that "it extended his life nearly three and a half years."

250 million Americans with health insurance and this is the best lie he could come up with?

How anyone can listen to this man blabber on and on is incredible. It would take him three hours to give you a five minute sales pitch. What is even more insane is how after sitting though a speech of his anyone can actually believe what he says.
